Healthcare providers urged to join forces to address the sector’s challenges

On the occasion on the 68th Independence anniversary of Ghana, all private healthcare, public healthcare, and private citizens have been urged to work together towards a brighter future for all Ghanaians.

Despite progress made in recent years, Ghana’s healthcare system still faces several challenges, including Limited access to healthcare, shortage of healthcare professionals, inadequate healthcare infrastructure, and High cost of healthcare.

Although the county’s healthcare system is a mix of public and private providers, there appear to be significant gaps leading to shortfalls within the Public Private Partnerships (PPP) agreements.

For this reason, the CEO and Chairman of the Cassona Global Imaging Ltd. Company John Chigbu Esq. has urged all stakeholders within the health sector in the country to join forces to improve healthcare in Ghana.

In his independence message to Ghanaians, Mr Chigbu said it is important for all private healthcare, public healthcare, and private citizens to work towards a brighter future for all. And all stakeholders within the health sector must take a cue and act in the interest of the citizens.

Ghana celebrates its 68th Independence Anniversary on March 6 every year in remembrance of the country’s emancipation from the colonial masters.

“As I reflect on our journey in Ghana, I am filled with hope and optimism for the future. Our primary goal at Cassona has always been to work with dedicated individuals to usher in a modern healthcare system, and I believe that together, we can achieve great things,” he said.

“As a private businessperson, I have no interest in politics. However, when I watched the joyful crowds dancing on the streets after the Ghana election, it gave me a lot of hope for the journey ahead of us. Let’s all join forces: private healthcare, public healthcare and private citizens. Together we will succeed, ” Mr Chigbu urged.

According to him, “We have a lot to celebrate this year. Once again, Ghana has proven its tradition of peaceful co-existence, respect for the will of the people, stability and a shining example (to the world entire) that democracy works by deeds not by words.”

Since its inception, Cassona has been committed to creating sustainable healthcare solutions in Ghana. The company has worked tirelessly to provide healthcare professionals and facilities with access to essential medical diagnostic equipment and tools.
