Cassona Global Imaging Limited Company (CGILC) and MR Global (HK) Limited, signed an exclusive distribution and supply agreement on 11th April, 2023.
The pact which covers medical imaging equipment (x-ray and ultrasound) in the Ghanaian market had the CEO of CGILC, Mr. John Chigbu and a representative of Mindray (MR Global (HK) Limited, Mr. Rao Zhigang, signing for their respective companies.
Both parties emphasized the need to adhere to good corporate practices with client satisfaction and quality healthcare as the ultimate focus.
On his part, Mr. John Chigbu explained that his drive to make medical imaging equipment accessible to healthcare facilities, especially in deprived areas of Sub-Saharan Africa was borne out of personal experience in Ghana, such as recurrent equipment breakdown and lack of resident maintenance biomedical engineers. He also stated that lack of access to capital and high interest rate in Ghana (for example) are prohibitive to credit access by healthcare facilities, especially in the private sector.
He further indicated that the partnership with Mindray is intended to provide private healthcare facilities with cost-effective (affordable) medical imaging equipment with flexible payment plans. He believed that, regular maintenance and accessibility to imaging equipment, which CGILC is committed to provide, will change the patients’ experience and improve quality of healthcare.
